As If Further Evidence Were Needed...

...that Pajamas Media will fail, honcho Simon appears to know exactly nothing about the movie business, ostensibly his "area of expertise." In a post titled "Good move by Disney," our haberdashered pal writes:

"The purchase of Pixar, even at seven plus billion, modernizes the aging Mouse House."

Survey sez... not so fast, fuckface!

"The fact that Disney is even contemplating a Pixar acquisition suggests a blatant lack of confidence in the turnaround at its own animation unit," says Sanford Bernstein analyst Michael Nathanson.

In addition, it's possible that the quality of Pixar's output will result in something that Simon actually does know something about, diminishing returns:

The studio has worked at a leisurely pace, however, releasing one picture every 18 months. As part of Disney, that pace would most likely have to speed up. Rival DreamWorks Animation produces two films a year, a much more ambitious production slate. "The question here is whether Pixar's production process of high-quality, profitable films is scalable. This is uncertain," says Sanford Bernstein's Mr. Nathanson.

Come on, Roger baby (isn't that what they say in Hollywood?)... a little transparency, please. Isn't that what all you virtuous fucking wankers insist on?

We know it's in your best interest to work the MSM-is-going-down shtick into every goddamn post and, admirably, you don't disappoint on this count. But frankly, we're a leeeeetle suspicious of your knee-jerk hosannas at a highly dubious $7 billion dollar investment.

Here's what we think happened: you read about this absurd amount of money being pumped into a cat so dead that even Kobe Bryant couldn't bounce it. You thought, Hmmm. Perhaps if I continue to flog this tired old dolphin; perhaps if I convinced my readers that, yes, a corpse can, in fact, be resuscitated -- just maybe Aubrey Chernick won't break my knee-caps...

Are we close?
