This reeks. In his post about the "Kosoversy", Glenn Reynolds writes:

Why that should matter, I don't know, but I remember -- back when the blogosphere was younger and people were nicer -- commiserating with Kos over his wife's miscarriage (my wife and I had several) and assuring him that it didn't preclude successful pregnancies later on, which I believe his wife has since had. So try to keep things at something better than a seventh-grade level.
If it doesn't matter, Glenn, why mention it? From the looks of it, the genial professor did so only to further cement his rep as a "gentleman" -- the "civility" thing, you know? Why he had to use rumors about Kos' sexuality and a rehashing of a miscarriage to do so is beyond this page's comprehension. [Maybe because he's an asshole? -ed Indeed!]

I see some blog-commenters are speculating that Glenn's fetuses weren't miscarried so much as wisely escaped. They claim that Helen Smith's (the Instywife) vagina had to become addicted to crack cocaine before it would stop rejecting Glenn's alien (alien, not just foreign but alien) tissue.
The speculation that Reyonlds was high on crack is just that, speculation. He has admitted getting high (in his youth) but says he gave up crack when he got into political commentary.
To refute the rumor that Glenn Reynolds' mother tried to abort Glenn repeatedly with an egg whisk (on or about his 21st birthday) would just give power to it. Therefore, we consider the discussion closed.

I have to say that Glenn Reyolds does the best Uriah Heep impression of any blogger I know.
